Every days different on the Truckee River, and no day is the same as the last. Thursday was tough, but today was a little easier, thanks to a drop in flows. The river is almost down under a 1000 cubes here in the Hirsch, good news, as it hasn’t been that low in months. We ran into a pod of rainbows, some of my neighbors, dining on March Browns today. Sometimes you time it right and can get some impressive fish on dries. We’re only getting warmed up here on the Truckee River, it’s spring training and opening day will be close.
