Truckee River Fishing Report 11/6/13

Fish are still on the bite in the greater Truckee-Tahoe-Reno area. Pretty much everywhere on the river is fishing well, both states, California, and Nevada. In California wait a bit, the very cold mornings put the bite off until mid-day. In Nevada it’s pretty much good to go, all around, all over. We have baetis in the afternoons pop’n. Look for a cloudy day and you’ll see risers, or go out to the LT and it will be good. Nymphers are getting ‘er done, and streamers have been all right too. Stay committed to the streamer thing. You can’t expect the same results as your nymph rig. If you’re a streamer fisherman you understand this. Baeits, stones, crays, smaller attractor patterns, stuff like that have been doing it for us. Flows have remained steady and the weather has been fairly nice.
