Winter Nymph Clinics January 18th/19th 2014

Doug O and I are back at it for 2014 with our Winter Nymph Clinics. This will be January 18th, and 19th on the Nevada side of the Truckee River. These are very comprehensive clinics, hands on, focusing on tight lining nymphing as well as indicator fishing. We cover rods, fly lines, knots, flies, water to fish, the whole deal. You will build and construct you own leader along with learning how to fish it and why. Winter is a bit different than summertime fishing and we will explain where trout hold and feed. Any old rod with a floating line will do. The basic 9 foot 5 weight is fine, however a 10 foot rod will help with what we are trying to teach. We will have rods too, specifically designed nymphing rods if you ‘d like to fish them. We’ll meet at 10:00 at the Chevron gas station off the Mustang exit East of Sparks on Interstate 80, than all drive to our spot. The cost is $200, and the class is usually 4.5 to 5 hours long. You must secure your spot by paying in full up front, either PayPal, or by credit card. If the weather is gnarly we will reschedule, or you can put your deposit to a future guide day. These are great clinics, take a peak at our clinic from this last summer. You will learn a ton about fishing the Truckee River in the Winter.
