Fishing has remained good on the Truckee River in Lake Tahoe-Truckee-Reno on the Truckee River. Warm air temps and warming water temps have sparked some pretty good activity. The weather looks pretty stable going into this week, so fishing should remain good. Same stuff as last week, skwala stones, blue wing olives, spring caddis, midges, no march browns yet, but soon. Any way will get them, tight lining, indos, streamers, dries. Everything is happening way early this year bug wise. Rainbows are on the spawn and you do need to be careful where you fish and where you wade across the river. Also, and I will talk more of this in the future, what I’ve noticed is some of the younger fly fishers need to learn some etiquette, some of the older ones too. Some people have no idea on etiquette, some just don’t give a shit, but we all have to SHARE the river.
