Pretty good consistent fishing here on the Truckee River in the Lake Tahoe-Truckee-Reno area. Caddis, and more caddis seem to be getting them all up and down the river. Crays are starting to make an impact as well. I’ve been all over guiding, fishing dries on the LT, and tight lining mainly on the Cali side. Flows are up on the entire river, and I’ve been taking advantage. Typical summertime type patterns, good fishing in the am, windy and warm in the afternoons, and good dry fly fishing right near dark. Cover the river, fish the pocket water, never underestimate the power of the streamer to mover fish, and have some G-6’s in tan, green, and pearl.
