Indian Summer here in the greater Truckee-Tahoe Reno area on the Truckee River. I think it’s been warm all over the West. This next week though things will change and we will once again get back into more normal fall, early winter weather. Rivers been fishing well all over. Anywhere you go you should pick up some fish. Mostly we’ve been nymphing, and streamer fishing. The nymph bite is on. Look for some good dry fly fishing mid-aftenoons, blue wings if it’s cloudy. Been very sunny up here so not to many fish on top, but that will change. Once again baeits, and more baetis, fall caddis, and stones. Change streamer colors to you get one that works. Fun time of the year to be out fishing.
