Looks like the heat is around to stay in the Lake Tahoe-Truckee-Reno area. It can put the clamp down on the afternoon fishing on the Truckee RIver this time of year. Here in the Hirsch we’re looking about 90 degress all week. Still some heads poking up around the Truckee area if you know where to look. Dry fly fishing that is. Mostly that’s what I’ve been doing. Fun when it happens, and if you have some folks that can cast it usually happens. Tight lining and streamer fishing is the game on the Truckee and you will see some fish rising near dark. Crays, and stones should be your anchor, and your dropper should be a caddis, or pmd. Mornings and mid-mornnings have been the best fishing.
