We’ve been taking a beating by the wind this week on the Truckee River. Pummeled is the word. Tommorow rains in the forecast with less wind, thank god. Bummer if you’re gearing up for a weekend camping trip with the kids. The water master has got the gates open on Boca, and Stampede. Flows here in the Hirsch and below in the mornings are now above 900. The LT is pumping too. Good for me, I like the high flows, bad for the majority of anglers coming up for the holiday weekend to fish. Your best bet is to fish the river above the inlet of the Little Truckee. Pmds are now on the scene here in Cali, and the other bugs will arrive here shortly, caddis, drakes and goldens. This is Mark’s brown from today.
