Not much has changed here in the Tahoe-Truckee-Reno area on the Truckee River. The ridge of high pressure over the Pacific has kept all storms away from Tahoe. The weather is mild and the fishing is descent. Descent because of the low clear flows. Easy to cross and access the whole river, but the fish are a little sketched out in places. We’ve done good and poor on guide trips this week. Good when you can get some water that hasn’t been fished through much, poor through water thats been worked hard. Same bugs, baetis- midges. Baetis should get going pretty good especially on the desert side of the river next month. I’ve been fishing a lot of dry dropper rigs and mixing things up a bit. Streamers have caught some fish lately too. We had a great tight line clinic this weekend on the river, thanks for coming. Look for some more stuff from Doug and I in the future.
