Fishing has been good to great the last few days on the Truckee RIver in Lake Tahoe-Truckee-Reno. The whole entire length of the river seems to be fishing. Water temps have warmed out of the winter chill to more spring temps in the mid-to upper 40’s. We have some bugs out, and some fish on top eating blue wings and skwala stones. I’ve seen caddis pop’n down in Reno too due to the early spring we’ve been having. Fish have of course been chowing down on nymphs, mainly mayflies and stones, and you can find them in just about every type of water. Trouts are spread out now, fish it all. This week should be good with warming temps. Skwalas will pop more in the afternoons and maybe the big feeders will get on top.
