More like spring again here in Lake Tahoe-Truckee-Reno on the Truckee River. 60’s-and 70’s last few days in Truckee-Reno, way different than last week. Fish seem to responding to the warmer weather and slightly warming water temps. Fish are spreading themselves out again, and it’s looking like the rainbows for the most part are post-spawn in Nevada and heading back in their feeding zones. The California side, at least around the Hirsch and stuff, should fish better this week with the warmer days. Skwalas are out, march browns, blue wing olives, and some spring caddis. Spring time trouts like nymphs of all the above, but you can find some nice fish on streamers too. Trout are always looking for the most caloric meal they can find, especially coming off winter. Little bit of run-off now in the afternoons, but hasn’t effected clarity. Should be a great week.
