Still holding steady here in the Hirsch on the Truckee River. Flows are lowering daily out of Lake Tahoe, but they do have more water coming out of Boca /the Little Truckee arm to help compensate a bit. Some good news is it’s been in the low 40’s every morning in Truckee and water temps are very cool, at least on the Cali side. Really no need to worry anymore up here about water temps. From what I hear it’s fine on the Nevada side as well. Shit’s real low down in Nevada, big bummer, but the Cali side is fishing very well, and that’s where I’ve been getting my work done. Same old, same old, crays, stones, and mayflies. Baetis mayflies are taking over the majority of the smaller stuff, and the big stuff is working well too. Other good news is fish are eating streamers, and with the low water, fish are looking up. 2 best things in life are streamer eaters and dry fly eats. Things are not all that bad.
