Truckee River Fishing Report 9/23/11

Fishing is pretty damn good here on the Truckee River, and with some fall weather expected this weekend, it will only get better. I’ve been spending most of my time on the California side of the river, and the fishing is solid, in fact the best it’s been all year. I’ve had some good reports of October Caddis on the upper river, but haven’t seen any but a few myself. Same with the streamer game, folks say they’ve been laying into them, but I don’t get to serious about the streamer fishing until it’s sweatshirt weather. Dry dropper rigs, and indo rigs have been cleaning house lately. There are baetis, mahogany duns, October caddis, small caddis, and still some big goldens hatching. A few pics, and a nice client caught rainbow.
