That's a wrap on Summer.
Indian summer now on the Truckee River. Nice brisk mornings, and hot afternoons.
Flows are great for wading and getting around all up and down the river. This is the start of the second season, and in most anglers opinions, the best season to fly fish.
I've mostly downsized my nymphs, and now's a good time to start streamer fishing.
The fishing is good all up and down. It'll just get better as the water cools and Fall sets in.
Trouts are spread out and you can find them in almost any type of water. Look for them to be in slower water early, and faster water when it warms up.
I think we'll have a great Fall on the Truckee River.
