Still no excessive heat on the Truckee River. It's gonna get a bit hot next weekend and beyond, but still no 90's for Truckee. Hot in Reno, but it could be way hotter.
Nice and cool in the mornings, (that's when you want to be out anyway) Warm in the afternoons.
Flows have dropped to about 525 cfs, here in Hirschdale- 400 cfs at Mogul on the NV side through Reno. That's right at average for August.
Now, you should look for mid-river slots, seams, chutes, etc. When the waters high, they're in close, lower, they're out. Though 525 cfs is still a pretty healthy flow.
I think we're gonna cruise right through August. Nights will begin too cool on the Ca side very soon. Not sure if we'll have much of the dog days of August this year.
