Big snows this week for the Truckee River. Old fashioned GOA storms.
Man we need it. If it weren't for that big week at the end December, things would be pretty grim right now. 100" inches on the summit this week is good news.
Fishing has been good. I mean it has pretty much felt like Spring for the last month. Winter is returning this week, but it's mid-February, and March is right around the corner. Whatever Winter we get will be short lived.
Look to fish the slower water over the next few weeks. Colder temps will put the fish back into the frog water. Flows should stay the same, as we'll get all snow and not any rain.
If the river in Ca has snow, and access is tough, fish the Nevada side. Usually they get very little if any snow on the lower Truckee River in Nevada.
