Flows have dropped to right around average on the Truckee River. Good wading flows now..
The whole river from Tahoe City down and past Reno have good flows: meaning the whole river is fishing. Pick a spot and get after it.
It's crayfish time on the Truckee River, make sure you have some. Nymphing should be your main weapon. These trout are hunkered down in pocket water. Especially now that it is getting hot in the afternoons. Next week will be hotter. I'm not doing any full day guide trips until it cools down again. All half days right now. Get out in the morning and be done with it.
Out on the Little Truckee River, a river I stopped guiding years ago as the crowds got crazy deserves a mention. Flows just dropped out there and you will see PMDs, and Green Drakes/Flavs. The dry fly fishing will and should be good out there for the next few weeks. It's a mid-day hatch. Good luck though, it's combat fishing at times. Welcome to the new Hot Creek.
