Truckee River Fly Fishing Report September 10 2025

Fall fishing on the Truckee River with the rainy weather.

Pretty much went from Summer to Fall in a few days. I'm sure it will warm back up, but the afternoons in the 80's look to be behind us.

Trouts are still on crayfish, and stoneflies for the anchor. Smaller mayflies on point.

Streamer fishing will start to get going. Got a few lately, but it will only get better. You have the pre-spawn fish now, and then post-spawn early Winter. Brown trout get aggressive right around this time of year. The fishing should keep improving as we get into October.
