Fall is here, at least on the Truckee River. Colder overnight lows, and mild afternoons. Fishing has been very good for the most part.
Smaller mayfly nymphs, caddis, baby crayfish, and smaller golden stones, are all good nymphing. You will not see any dry fly action unless you get a good cloudy, rainy type day. Fall is the time for blue wings though. You may light a few up on the streamers. Hard to say in he sun, but again, if it gets cloudy, that would be my first choice.
Flows are very good for mid-september. Still some water coming out of Lake Tahoe, and Boca still is pretty full. Should be an awesome Fall.
Remember, you can get in on the clinic, this Saturday.
