We've stepped into the fall fishing season on the Truckee River.
Little bit of rain today, clouds..Going to warm back up though, and probably back to nice sunny weather.
Pretty solid fishing all up and down the Truckee River. Flows have basically shut off coming out of Lake Tahoe. You might as well stick a fork in that upper section, it's done. I'm always from Boca on down into Nevada anyways. Mutant fly casters fish are not my cup of tea.
Trouts are on just about all sorts of rigs, and moving into all sorts of different water. You may want to fish some frog water early, and fish the faster water when the sun gets straight up.
Good wading glows, little boney for the floating, but the lower East end river will be fishing soon too.
