We’re in the midst of another heat wave here on the Truckee River. Dam hot in the afternoons. Windy too. Come on folks, give the fish a break, don’t fish to them in the afternoons when the water is up near 70 degrees. Get on the water early, get off, have lunch and a beer, go again near dark. Repeat that process until it cools down some. The fishing is good though. Crayfish, stones, and some caddis. Flows are still up out of Tahoe and the whole river is very fishable. It’s a perfect 480 something here in the Hirsch and down below. A big catch and release from Mike on the Truckee River.
